Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per year
Our client is an award winning chemical commodity trading and distribution company. Continued success has allowed expansion of the organisation with the creation for a Supply Chain / Logistics person.
Responsibilities:
Negotiating and managing relationships with transporters/hauliers, warehouses, agents, customs & excise, shipping companies, banks, overseas offices and other parties to ensure successful collection/delivery/shipping of goods, bulk and packaged.
Maintaining and improving supplier level agreements, and regular visit to warehouse and ports, in the UK and Europe.
You will also monitor inventory levels and maintain the company databases with the progress of orders, shipments, freights etc.
Further to this, you will be constantly liaising with Sales, Purchasing and Finance departments regarding delivery progress, problems, and requirements
There will be opportunities to travel nationally and internationally for the right candidate as well as strong prospects for promotion within the company.
Requirements:
You will need to be logical, well organised and able to deal with client demands, strategically plan for potential problems, and formulate strategy for supply-chain activities with the directors.
Proven experience in B2B industry.
