Store’s Person

Store’s Person required for a 3 month contract within a successful engineering company in Letchworth. The successful store’s Person will assist with goods in/out, stock checking, kit picking and maintaining stock levels.

Store’s Person Requirements:
• At least 2 years’ experience within a warehouse and goods in/out environment
• Basic understanding of engineering and production line processes
• Experience of stock control and stocktaking
• Previous experience of picking kits for lineside locations and production lines
• Good understanding of Manual Handling and other health & safety regulations
• Experience of Perpetual Inventory Count
• A Counter Balance Licence is desirable but not essential

Store’s Person Responsibilities:
• Pick and kit orders for production line staff
• Check goods in and out of the warehouse using in-house systems and manual files
• Ensure all stock is rotated accordingly
• Maintain good levels of stock within the warehouse – Adhere to PI Count levels
• Order kit and spares where needed and minimise downtime on the production line
• Adhere to all relevant health & safety regulations – Manual Handling etc
• Report any faults or issues to the relevant line manager as soon as possible
