Stores Person

Job purpose:

This role works in a busy stores environment taking on various duties within the department, working to Just In Time requirements ensuring that company targets are met and high quality standards are achieved.

General / Generic skills and experience:

Fork Lift truck driving for the movement of materials.
Receiving and checking goods – checking quantities and part numbers against paperwork.
Location of goods within stores.
Issuing parts to production areas
Use of computer terminal and barcode scanner for data entry and enquiry.
Location transfers of goods.
Preparation of finished goods for shipping.
Despatch of finished goods.
Maintain stock accuracy by following stores P.I. procedure.
Undertaking other duties and responsibilities as specified by the Senior Stores Person, Senior Team Leader or Manager.

Specific skills and experience to role:

Counter Balance License/ VNA Order Picker Licence/ VNA Man-Up Pallet Picker Truck Licence.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills
Good numeracy skills.
Excellent understanding of Health and Safety and Manual Handling practices within a Stores environment.
A flexible, pro-active approach to work with the ability to manage your own time well
