Stores Person

Salary: £31,200 – £36,000 per year

We are currently recruiting for a Stores person for a busy oil & gas services client in the south of Aberdeen. This will be initially be a 12 month contract but could lead to a permanent position. Applicants must have a current Counter balance forklift certificate and be competent on computer systems. Experience in a busy stores role is also essential. 40 hour core week with start as soon as possible.

Main duties will include but not be limited to:-

Ensuring stock levels are maintained above the minimum specified levels to meet the company requirements and all purchased parts are correctly coded. 

Controlling the purchase, receipt and inspection of goods. 

Keeping stock control using computer system. 

Carry-out periodic and annual stock counts and adjustments and root cause stock discrepancies

Ensuring good housekeeping discipline within the stores area. 

Maintaining Point of Use stock levels for Operations. 

Establishing part numbers for all commonly used items 

Liaise with suppliers to ensure Consignment agreements are being met 

Correctly code all purchased items for finance recording and spend analysis 

Ensuring that items for projects are correctly coded to specific project code. 

Picking and packing 

It is essential to have previous stores experience and a valid counterbalance forklift certificate.
