Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Saffron Walden, Essex
Hours: Monday – Friday 08:30am – 5:00pm 37.5 hours
Salary: Up to £72,000p.a. DOE
Duration: Full time, permanent
Sector: Engineering & Technical
Our client based in Saffron Walden, Essex is seeking an Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer your duties will include:
- Mechanical and electromechanical design using SolidWorks
- Updating documentation, BOMS etc
- Planning and costing
- Product & Jig design, including mechanical and electronic components
- Providing progress reports
- Risk analysis
An ideal candidate for the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role will have:
- Mechanical engineering degree
- Mechanical & electronic system component design experience
- Strong experience in 3D SolidWorks
- 5 years+ experience in an industrial or R& D environment
- Manufacturing process knowledge
- Previous experience sourcing materials
- IT literacy
- Full driving license.
