Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £42,000 – £60,000 per year

Your skills in precision mechanical design using 2D & 3D modelling software, will allow you to take your concepts through development, prototyping, evaluation, test and into production, delivering world beating, technically advanced, complex precision electro-mechanical assemblies.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer skills and experience:
* You will be degree qualified: BSc / BEng / MEng in mechanical engineering or have significant design experience with precision mechanisms
* Proven full product lifecycle from concept through design to release, balanced with a strong understanding of meeting customer expectations and commercial viability
* A creative, practical, team player who has high technical knowledge and the ability to problem solve combined with an understanding of machinery directive safety legislation and compliance regulations
* Able to produce high quality manufacturing drawings in 2D and 3D containing full tolerances and detailed finishing specifications for precision components design to micron level
* Solidworks modelling experience in both 2D & 3D, showing creative ability and attention to detail
* Understanding different material selection for varied electro-mechanical products and assemblies should be supported with the ability to multi-task, time manage, support more junior team members and work collaboratively with other engineering teams
* As an all-round mechanical design engineer with an eye for DFMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) you be a key contributor in this award-winning international organisation
