Position Overview:

We are assisting a major building contractor in the search for a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Lead on a £40m D&B project based in Suffolk. This will be the number one commercial lead on the project reporting into the Commercial Director.

In order to be successful in this role, you will be required to be hands on and take ownership of the commercial aspect of the project. This will require a lot of client interface as well as adapt to the needs of the client throughout the period of delivering the project.

Candidate Profile:

• Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying and preferably Chartered in MRICS OR MCIOB
• Experience working on a major project, delivering in excess of £40m upwards
• Previous industrial or shed building experience would be ideal, but also experience with Steel Frame
• Previous experience working for Tier 1 contractor
• Strong JCT Design & Build contract knowledge
• Ability to manage the full sub contract procurement process
• Robust control of work programmes in collaboration with the project management teams
