Project Quantity Surveyor

Our Client is a leading a leading West Midlands based Building Contractor.
As a result of recent contract awards they have a vacancy for a Project QS, initially to oversee a
£20m mixed use Development project in West Birmingham.

The Company has been responsible for a variety of high profile projects within the Education,
Commercial,Health, PFi and Local Authority sectors.

Responsibilities include:

Responsible for the management of any Assistant QS`s and any Trainee Quantity Surveyors.
Responsible for the day to day commercial operations on the project(s) in accordance with the company’s commercial procedures including the procurement and commercial administration requirements and ultimate success of the project.
Identify and review areas of commercial risk and opportunity with the Commercial Manager.

Successful experience at quantity surveyor level with a stable track record.
Thorough knowledge of construction procedures and working methods.
Understanding of construction law and contractual terms.
