An exciting and busy Senior Event Coordinator / Event Management role to cover a maternity period at a successful not-for-profit association, based in offices just outside of Bristol.
The company.
A national trade association offering ‘one voice’ for members involved in this sector across England. They plan an annual calendar of workshop events, conferences, and webinars to keep members and organisations informed on new policy developments across the sector. The Senior Event Coordinator / Event Manager will join a small events team based in offices just outside of Bristol. They can be working on around 100 to 200 events a year.
The role.
With one of the key senior members of the team going on maternity leave in September the organisation is looking for an Senior Event Coordinator / Event Manager to come on board ASAP so that there is a good level of hand over time. They are also rapidly approaching the major National Conference and therefore definitely need someone in the role to help with this. The Head of Events works out of the Midlands offices and therefore this position requires the candidate to work very independently and autonomously without regular direct supervision.
The experience we need.
– Taking full ownership and responsibility for some of the events of varying sizes
– Ideally experiece within conferences or B2B events
– Working on events throughout the full life cycle
– Complete event back office management and administration
– On site on the day Event organisation and planning
– Prioritising work load of the events team and delegation to junior members
– Not direct line management but guidance/responsibility for junior team
– Full valid driving license and own transport
– Willingness to work outside core office hours, evenings and weekends occasionally
