Senior Data Engineer – Technology and Services

Salary: £51,720 – £67,920 per year

WHAT TO EXPECT

As a Data Engineer, you will focus on a specific data domain (Customer, Vehicle, Product) designing and enriching the current data model, establish operational and transactional datasets in our new Digital and Data Platform using pipelines, change data capture and ETL/ELT practices, and work closely with our API teams on data consumption and update patterns. You will enforce data quality by working with a network of people in your data domain to solve data issues at the source and define the data engineering toolset in conjunction with the engineering leadership

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

in data engineering or data architecture
Proven skills in building data pipelines
Experience working with at least one of the major cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure)
Understanding of cloud-native practices and containerisation
Strong understanding of at least one programming language (GoLang, Java, Python etc.) in a data engineering context
Proven skills in SQL and Document-based database technologies such as; MongoDB, MySql or equivalents
A deep understanding of integration patterns and data architecture in a tool-agnostic context
An interest in taking a luxury automotive manufacturer into a digital, data-driven age
