3 Month Contract (Possibility of extension to 6 months)

We are currently looking to recruit a Lead Embedded Software Developer on behalf of an automotive company in the Wrexham area.

THE ROLE:

The successful Lead Embedded Software Engineer will join a progressive team and play an integral role in the development of embedded software.

KEY DUTIES:

• They will be able to interpret customer requirements and offer suggestions where applicable.

• Lead automated testing

• High and low level design prior to development

• Interface into systems dealing with any bugs that arise

• Interact with multiple stakeholders through software development stages of design, implementation, test and integration

• Contribute to company Software Development Plans

• Creation of software test plans and specifications.

• Writing and reviewing software requirement specifications.

• Manage any software releases and deal with tickets when raised

THE PERSON:

The ideal Embedded Software Developer / Software Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

• Minimum of 5 year’s experience in an embedded software engineering role

• Writing C / C++ within a safety critical industry (Experience with ISO 26262 is advantageous, but not crucial)

• Identifying problems from CAN

• Experienced in Python and test driven development

• Exposure to the full software development lifecycle

• Ability to work using their initiative but also lead and mentor the team

• Excellent decision making skills with an ability to solve complex issues

• Act as a team member and work with people from various areas and levels within the business

• Be able to follow prescriptive requirements
