Senior QA Engineer, Test Analyst, Automation, TDD, Selenium, BDD,

My client a leading telecoms organisation are seeking to recruit a strong manual tester coupled with 1-2 years automation testing experience.

The role will suit someone who is self-motivated and passionate about delivering high quality software. The candidate should be able to cope in a rapidly moving environment and be able to manage their time effectively between multiple concurrent projects under the general guidance of the Quality Assurance Manager.

* Test Leadership skills
o Able to lead test projects from start to finish – requirements analysis, test planning, test execution, UAT, reporting and deployment
o Able to lead/coordinate a small team of testers
o Able to provide test project estimations
* Career focused – strong track record of achievement, ambitious
o Ideally, UK degree educated
o Career progression demonstrated in CV
o Has stayed with a companies for a good length of time (no constantly job hopping)
* Technically astute
o Web application testing (e.g. Tomcat)
o Web Services (SOAP/REST)
o SQL
* Attention to detail, but also able to appreciate the big picture
* Able to coach/guide junior team members
* Able to help drive the development team
* Focused on customer goals
* Able to cope in a changeable environment. I.e. may have to switch between 2 or 3 projects within a week at times
* Selenium Webdriver/Java coding skills are desirable and will be a major advantage

Experience & Qualifications

*Experience working within an Agile Scrum environment
*Experience of testing at least 3 different software products across at least 5 full release cycles
*Evidence of high-level participation in online, web or SaaS orientated commercial projects utilising the skills listed below
*Experience in public sector/government IT industry (desirable)

Quality Assurance Skills
*A thorough understanding of QA processes and practices
*Experience writing test plans from requirement specification documents
*Customer facing experience both from a initial/pre-sales point of view as well as UAT
*Solid experience with test automation tools, ideally Selenium WebDriver
