SENIOR CONTRACTS MANAGER – MAIN CONTRACTOR

This is a great opportunity for an established Contracts Manager to join a Main Building Contractor, specialising in refurbishments, restorations & new builds for the Commercial, Historical & Educational Sector across London & the South East.

ROLE: SENIOR CONTRACTS MANAGER – MAIN BUILDING CONTRACTOR

LOCATION: You may be searching for Contracts Manager jobs in Surrey, SW London, West London, accessible to Kingston, Twickenham, Hounslow, Chessington, Esher, Epsom, Leatherhead, Woking and surrounding areas and have a full UK driving licence.

SALARY: £78,000 – £90,000 + company benefits, car allowance, phone, laptop, bonus scheme, pension, 28 days holiday (inc B/H)

HOURS: Permanent, Full Time, Mon- Fri 8.00am- 5.30pm

As a Senior Contracts Manager, you will be working closely with the Operations Manager & the Commercial team, overseeing multiple projects valued between £1M- £10M, managing programming and contract negotiations from tender, construction to handover.

Day-to-day responsibilities as Senior Contracts Manager include:

* Coordinating & overseeing trades people, site operatives & sub-contractors on site.

* Reviewing method statements & risk assessments.

* Carrying out on-site audits to ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines, company procedures & good working practices.

* Monitoring contract performance against programme and budget.

* Chair progress meetings and report to the client on progress.

As Senior Contracts Manager, you will have:

* a proven track record in Contract Management.

* experience working for a Main Building Contractor.

* A background overseeing multiple profitable projects.

* current health & safety legislation knowledge.

* strong leadership skills.

You will be a highly driven Contracts Manager, with excellent communication / organisational skills, able to work well under pressure and committed to completing projects to the highest standard, on time and within budget.

Ideally a member of the MCIOB, you will have an established Construction Management background, a valid CSCS card, SMSTS, HND/ HNC/ Degree in Construction Management and be proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel and possibly ASTA Powerproject / QMS systems.
