We are working with an award-winning multidisciplinary engineering design consultancy who are looking to expand their controls division with a Senior – Principal level BMS Design Engineer/ Design Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* The Building Automation Design Engineer/ BMS Design Engineer will be working with the client and multi-disciplinary design team from early-stage design through to witnessing and commissioning,

* The BMS Design Engineer will be witnessing software bench tests, factory testing and the completed installation as well as reviewing and commenting on contractor proposals and designs.

* The Controls Engineer/ BMS Engineer will be building control system strategies and designs along with creating the specifications for tender and construction

SKILLS AND BACKGROUND

* HNC or degree in a relevant Engineering subject

* The ability to demonstrate experience within control system design

* Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and schematics as well as thermodynamics and psychometrics

* The BMS Design Engineer will have an exceptional knowledge of the control of mechanical plant and systems and the monitoring of electrical equipment

* DDC and PLC architectures and networks

* BACnet, Modbus and KNX protocols (ideally MQTT)

* Thorough understanding of IP networking is essential
