Graduate Electronics Design Engineer
Reports To
The Junior Electronics Design Engineer will report to the Design Manager.
Job Overview
As junior member of the design team, you will provide a supporting role to the Design Engineers with a view to learn and understand the projects.
To include, prototype assembly, function testing, fault finding, compliance testing, production and report documentation.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Schematic capture, PCB layout, mechanical and software design for the product
* Hand build and test of prototype boards
* Ensure full test and validation of the design to specification prior to release for manufacture
* Test and report for compliance to the relevant standards
* Create and build a production test solution
* Gain experience of DFM and NPI
* Learn and develop your skills
* Engineering support for other parts of the business as required
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level in electronics.
* Knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design
* Knowledge of embedded design – both hardware implementation and programming
* PCB layout experience.
* Programming in C & Python
* Practical experience and soldering.
* Knowledge of the following would be advantageous
* LEDs for lighting applications
* Lighting controls and sensors
* SMPS
* Battery charging
* EMC
