A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join the building services design team within a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Manchester.

This multi-award-winning consultancy provide a full-range of engineering services and develop innovative design solutions across a broad range of sectors and project types. They are now looking to appoint a new Senior Mechanical Design Engineer within their growing team in Manchester.

Responsibilities

* Full technical responsibility for mechanical building services design output on projects

* Design of HVAC and mechanical engineering services including heating and ventilation in air conditioning

* Delivering integrated Design in accordance with the client’s design programme.

* Carry out and/or manage the production of detailed calculations using industry standard digital tools

* Represent the business at meetings with clients and contractors

* Conduct site surveys, inspections and monitor site works

* Assist in the development and mentoring of junior members within the team.

Requirements

* Degree or equivalent qualification in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering

* Extensive project experience involving high levels of technical competence.

* Excellent report writing and communication skills, and the ability to liaise professionally with clients and colleagues.

* Experience working on a variety of multi-discipline design projects.

* Design consultancy and/or experience working within a contractor design environment is essential.

* Have a detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards.

* Able to take charge of project deliverables, make decisions, act on own initiative and operate in a proactive way.
