School Facilities Manager

Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per year

Dedicate Recruitment are working with an all through school in Dagenham to appoint an experienced and competent Facilities Manager. Uniquely the school offers students their entire educational journey aged 3-18 years, built on a formula of high expectations, a relentless focus on standards and a belief that every young person can succeed.

Reporting to the School Business Manager, the successful candidate will possess a background in school facilities or estates management with sound knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation.

Duties will include.

* Responsibility for all the services which support the running of the school premises

* Overseeing lettings of the school facilities and be flexible on hours required to be present

* Ensuring all schools buildings are maintained to a high level of cleanliness and the site is kept secure at all times

* Providing Health & Safety guidance to managers and staff

* Investigate any incidents and prepare reports as required for governors and senior management

* Leading a team of one Site Supervisor and Site Assistant, supporting them in their development & training

* Managing the promotional and business aspects of all school events

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain working relationships at all levels. Working as part of a team and on your own initiative, the postholder will be expected to demonstrate good organisational and management skills. The role may involve both evening and weekend work, your flexibility and willingness to adapt working hours around the needs of the school is essential.

This is an on-site, full time, all year through post with two splits shifts of 6.30am – 2.30pm and 11am – 7pm. The successful candidate will hold a current Enhanced DBS check or will be subject to one.
