Salary/Package – £48,000 – £60,000Basic company car pension + bonus

Alecto recruitment has an excellent opportunity available within the Construction sector for an experienced Quantity Surveyor, ideally with at least five years Quantity Surveying experience.

The Ideal candidate will hold a HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying.

This is a Full time position working In and around London for our client.

live environment working.Currently looking to strengthen Their team in the London area. The role is one of Quantity Surveyor within the team and the successful candidate will manage commercial and contractual matters as required.

Requirements:

Personal Qualities

A person who is accustomed to working with management;
A person able to work on their own initiative and be able to schedule workload to meet priorities;
An experienced professional with knowledge of construction and operations is essential;
Strong negotiation skills and experience of managing key suppliers;
Experienced in managing projects;
Is able to display knowledge of managing tender processes and possess the skills to handle complex contract negotiations;Qualifications

HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying. Responsibilities:

Estimating Duties
Sub Contractor procurement and market testing
Preperation of subcontracts, orders,warranties,payments & agreement of final accounts
Remeasurement from site records & drawings, billing out & pricing
preperation of intewrim valuations/invoices leading to final account agreement
Preparation & agreement of variations
Value Engineering
Preparation of monthly profit and loss reports & Processing commercial data using approved account/data systems
Invoicing & credit control
cost control & cash flow forecast
Managing correspondence
Management of tender processes and contract negotiationsThe Individual:

Training/experience

Formally trained with the necessary experience to allow the successful candidate to demonstrate that they are able to undertake the tasks required
Trained in use of Coins Advantageous but not essentialSkills

A full driving licence is essential;
PC Literate with knowledge of MS applications e.g. Word, Excel;
Able to communicate and present confidently, clearly and expressively;
Good writing skills;
Good organisational skills;
Capable of influencing within cross-functional teams;
Good negotiation skillsPackage:
