Senior Quantity Surveyor required for award winning house builder….

This outstanding regional house builder is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in the Thames Valley region. 

Working under the direction of the Commercial Head, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will ensure contracts are placed with sub-contractors to give the best possible value for money whilst maintaining the utmost quality in line with company standards and regulations. 

Senior Quantity Surveyor – key responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of building budgets
• Monitor and check drawings to ensure proposals are practical and economically viable
• Prepare and submit a proposed subcontractor tender list
• Prepare subcontract enquiries and send out for pricing
• Produce detailed trade specific scope of works and qualification notes to accompany enquiry documentation
• Process payments

Senior Quantity Surveyor – qualifications, skills and experience:

• within a residential developer environment in a Quantity Surveyor capacity
• Ability to work within a team environment
• Strong numerical skills
• Strong knowledge of the house building process
• Good organisation skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
