TSA ltd recruitment is currently representing a national civil engineering contractor that has a network of offices throughout the UK, our client undertakes significant projects including highways, energy, power, water and heavy civil engineering projects. Due to continued expansion our client is recruiting for a civil engineering a Quantity Surveyor in Chesterfield to work on projects from £1m to £7m in the East Midlands and Yorkshire regions. The successful candidate will work for a £200m turnover privately owned business that has an impressive forward order book. You will be part of a team based from one of the Group’s regional offices that undertakes primarily highways, public realm and infrastructure projects in the local area. Our client has an excellent track record of recruiting individuals and offering progression to Quantity Surveyor. Therefore this role could appeal to an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor looking to join an organisation that can provide a speedy promotion dependent on positive performance to the next level in their career.

The Opportunity

Reporting to a Commercial Manager your duties will include but not limited to:

Co-ordinating your time amongst site and office based activities
Administration of the NEC3 contract
Interim valuations
Early Warnings, Compensation Events, Variations
Sub-contractor payments
Liaison with project teams, commercial team, clients and sub-contractors

Your Background:

An industry applicable ONC, HNC or above (preferable)
NEC3 form of contract knowledge
Civil engineering experience
