Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor required. This opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor is to work for a company based in Winchester. The Quantity Surveyor will be experienced and capable of taking ownership and assist in all stages of Construction projects. The Quantity Surveyor will be able to demonstrate determination and will have the ability to support senior staff in delivering excellent customer service within a professional organisation. The Quantity Surveyor will be working on roles within the High end residential sector, leisure, commercial and educational projects, it would be an advantage if the Quantity Surveyor had experience with listed properties but this is not essential.

The Quantity Surveyor will be working on projects that will vary between £1m and £20m, this opportunity is to work for a company which prides itself on attention to detail. It is envisaged that the QS will be working on all aspects of pre and post contract QS work, this will include preparation of tender documentations, liasing with consultants and contractors.

Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

* Managing / coordinating and advising on all aspects of Pre and Post contract QS work
* To ensure contracts are financially controlled, to budget and to the clients requirements
* Liaising with the other consultants and contractors, preparation of cash-flow forecasts, valuation forms.
* To undertake site visits in preparation of all tenders
* To prepare tenders based on estimating procedures First line of the role description

Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

* Substantial experience in managing and surveying in the construction industry
* Must be keen to have involvement in all aspects of PQS duties
* Knowledge of the industry
* Listed property experience would be advantageous.

Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration

* Salary £48,000 – £60,000(negotiable)
* Pension & Private Healthcare
