Our client is a leading East Anglian developer working on bespoke high end residential developments. Due to a full order book, they looking for an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor to join a high achieving and dynamic team. The company is renowned for their high end traditional build developments. The successful candidate will initially work on a 6 month contract.

The position will take full responsibility of the commercial management and cost effectiveness of a development in the North Coast area of Norfolk. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of all cost control procedures; periodically reporting to the executive team; process orders, payments and variations.

ROLE:

* Sub-contract Procurement and Account Management

* The timely placement of sub-contract orders in line with procurement schedule and commercial parameters and opportunities.

* Materials Procurement

* Regular assessment of work, variation assessment and payment recommendation in line with Sub-contract conditions.

* External Valuations

* Timely submissions in accordance with Contract requirements to maximise profit and cash flow.

* Financial Reporting

* Regular reporting of accurate cost value reconciliation and forecasting.

* Contractual Matters

* Develop and foster collaborative working relationships with Client, Client Representatives, Supply Chain and internal Teams.

CANDIDATE:

* Degree qualified

* Previous experience as a quantity surveyor within the residential new build sector

* Strong understanding of traditional build market conditions and rates

* Excellent communication skills demonstrating effectiveness in a negotiation environment

* Sound knowledge of JCT Contracts.
