Salary: £48,000 per year

Quality Engineer, West Hull, up to £40,000 (Up to £45K for a lead role)

Arlington moore Recruitment are working on behalf of a hugely successful company who are looking to appoint a Quality Engineer. This role is commutable from HU, DN and YO postcodes.

Job Overview of the Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer is responsible for establishment and subsequent maintenance of a quality management system, along with all specific customer related quality assurance requirements. There will also be opportunity to progress into the Lead Quality Engineer position, taking responsibility for quality assurance in that division,

Key Duties and Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer

  • Ensuring that products are safe and meet customer expectations, whilst also keeping the manufacturing process as efficient and effective as possible
  • Ensuring that the Quality Management System continues to meet regulatory requirements
  • Carrying out detailed systems level audits, working with managers to implement improvement actions that ensure continued compliance
  • Developing performance measurements and reporting requirements that set quality metrics for each stage of the production process. Working with colleagues at all levels to continually improve levels of performance.
  • Monitoring customer feedback to identify any quality concerns and liaising with customers to resolve issues.
  • Developing, sustaining, and improving standard work
  • Representing the quality team at operations reviews and taking full ownership of delivering associated corrective, preventive actions
  • Travel when necessary, including overseas

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities of the Quality Engineer

  • Work experience in a flow line assembly environment would be an advantage as well as automotive, aerospace, pharmaceutical, wind turbines, food, or any other highly regulated environment
  • Experience of problem solving using 8D
  • Good IT skills
