Quality Engineer

Salary: £38,400 – £43,200 per year

My client is looking to recruit a Quality Engineer for their engineering business located in Wiltshire. They work with various industries including Aerospace, Medical, Automotive etc., and are part of a larger group with facilities worldwide.
The role is being recruited due to a retirement within the business, and there will he a handover with the current incumbent to ensure a smooth transition into the role. The role will report directing into the Plant Director, and will involve working alongside the Process Quality Engineer within the business
To main function of the role is to ensure our clients Quality Assurance systems and procedures are managed and maintained to required standards, internally and externally, and to assure external expectations for the quality of delivered components are consistently achieved.
Within the role of Quality Engineer the key duties will be:
* To create and refine process definition and control systems to ensure consistent production of components which are in compliance with defined requirements.
* To gather, analyse and publish data on manufacturing processes
* Plan and conduct internal audits
* Manage continuous improvement projects
* Investigate, resolve and report on root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality failures
* Ensure 5S and TPM standards are maintained within your area of responsibility
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role, and have experience of managing accreditation preferably AS9100 or ISO 900.
You must also have a solid experience in using quality tools, and be verse to problem solving within a manufacturing environment.
The role will involve working a 37 hour working pattern Monday to Friday on days.
