Quality Engineer

Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year

We are now recruiting for a Project Quality Engineer to join our client, a leading offshore oil & gas design and engineering contractor, based in London. This role is a permanent staff position, and our client is looking for candidates with experience in offshore installation projects, fabrication, or have a keen interest in developing in this industry.

The role will involve supporting the Project Quality Manager in the planning and implementation of the Project Quality Management System activities within the project; planning and implementing QA activities within the projects, and co-ordinating the project quality activities implementation. 

Duties will include: 

▪ Provide the necessary back-up to the Project Quality Manager regarding quality contractual issues both during tender and project execution phase

▪ Support the PQM for the following activities:

– Ensure the definition and implementation of the PQMS and the identification, preparation and distribution of needed Project Quality Plans and procedures in accordance with the Company Quality Management System

– Ensure that the correct implementation of the PQMS is checked and monitored through the planning of quality audits

– Ensure, within the project organisation, the planning of activities aimed at promoting the applicable Contractual Quality

You must be qualified to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline, and have at least 8 years quality engineeering experience within offshore installation or fabrication projects.

Office location: SW London/Surrey area, but please be aware that some travel will be required.
