Quality Control Technician 9 Month Contract

Hours of Work – Mon to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm
Our successful and expanding FMCG client are currently seeking a QC Technician it is initially a 9 month contract but maybe extended. Successful candidates will need to have some experience having worked in a similar role or possibly a recent science graduate with some work experience. Candidates will need to drive have their own car.
. The successful candidate will possess:

• Ability to perform quality control testing on cosmetic products and ingredients including checks on viscosity, pH and colour. They will be responsible for ensuring that all raw materials and finished bulk are tested and positively released in line with Company QMS.
• Excellent communication skills. Ability to analyse data, escalate unacceptable findings for corrective action and report results to Quality Manager and Operations.
• Assist with customer service enquiries/ complaints.
• Excellent attention to detail. Ensure that all QC records are maintained, up to date and accurate.
• Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently, work independently and problem solve.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and adhere to GMP at all times.

Education & Experience:

• Experience of working in a fast paced FMCG production environment.
• Degree or equivalent in a scientific discipline or 1+ year experience of working in a quality dept or with quality systems
• Good computer skills.
