Quality Control Team Leader

Quality Control Team Leader.

My client is looking to expand quickly in the Barnsley area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a rapidly growing company and to progress quickly within a warehouse environment. My client is looking for a Quality Control Team Leader with the following attributes and experience who will assist the Quality Control Supervisor:

· Plans are enacted daily / weekly to receive in and manage all stock transactions through goods in.

· Received stock is sorted, counted and recorded into Jeeves within a 24 hour working period.

· To work with the available labour and supervise the labour in their daily duties.

· Loading, unloading as required and organising team as required.

· Advise of any stock shortages or damages daily to the Quality Control Supervisor.

· Oversee stock control from goods in put away by carrying out random location checks.

· Scheduling of daily deliverys with transport suppliers.

· Capture daily issues that arise and work with management to reduce and stop recurring issues.

· Motivating, organising and encourage teamwork within your team.

· Identify where training may be required to improve your team.

· Daily staff briefing with targets to be achieved.

· A hands on approach to management and may involve some physical / manual handling.

· Ability to cope with processes requiring concentration and attention to detail with computer related activity.

You must have the following experience skill sets.

· Jeeves knowledge would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given

· Counterbalance and Reach license is required refreshed in last 3 years

· Experience in managing a similar role in a diverse warehouse.

· Practical working knowledge of a fast paced, mixed product, manual high volume environment.

· Good all round understanding of warehouse procedures.

· IT literate.

· Good organisational skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to persuade and influence others.

· Achievement orientation – ability to multi take and deliver on competing demands.

· Energy and flexibility – accustomed to a fast paced environment.

· Ability to work under pressure.
