Production Team Leader

Smart Recruitment is proud to be working on behalf of an award winning, National Lean Manufacturer based in the South West of the UK. We are currently supporting the company in their search to recruit 3 x Production Team Leaders for their location in Somerset.

The company has grown significantly since its inception in the 1960s, and now provides employment opportunities for over 600 staff across its three locations in the UK. The company`s environmental ethos has ensured their operations have been analysed and improved in order to reduce their carbon footprint, as well as improve their efficiency, resulting in accreditation from various industry bodies.

Following new business gains, and an extension of their significant retail customer requirements, the company are expanding to meet this demand. They require multiple Production Team Leaders to take a lead role in running their production operations, under the guidance of their experienced Shift Managers.

The roles will include responsibility for a variety of production operations, including labour utilisation, general efficiency, quality, adherence to GMP, health & safety and team building. This all takes place within a supportive management structure that provides training, assistance and guidance to their TLs.

Accountable for 15-20 operators on a shift, you will be someone who is able to effectively communicate with others to ensure you obtain the best team output possible. The company is a lean manufacturer, with continuous improvement at the heart of how they operate, so there will be plenty of opportunity to become involved in initiatives to drive efficiency.
