Salary: £15.67 – £15.86 per hour

Our Client is looking for a Project Support Officer role to cover the following-

Main Duties will include:

– Work with and support the Programme Director to ensure the smooth running of the C&P team and its objectives

– Support and inform the targeting of resources, monitoring, implementation and evaluation of the tasks/projects by providing high quality support including complex information and analysis, communications and stakeholder management

– Support the management of projects on a day to day basis. This will include ensuring: compliance with key milestones and timelines; effective regular and exceptional reporting; effective risk identification and mitigation? with proposals to adjust plans and resources as necessary

– Ensure accurate and open communication and co-ordination with a range of organisations and individuals, researching and drafting correspondence and papers and ensuring the management of specific tasks, lead reporting and analysis across a range of specialties, functions and projects

– Be a key member of the team as well as supporting effective communication and stakeholder management, both internally and externally

– Engaging with all teams to ensure appropriate oversight of budget management & monitoring. Provide a central point of contact for all finance queries

– Provide / coordinate effective programme support to senior team members as required

– Lead on discrete pieces of work/projects as required

– Support the Head of Service with HR services including the management of recruitment processes

Person Spec/Main Skills Required:

– Experience of managing projects in a complex environment within a structured methodology (e.g. PRINCE2, APM BoK)

– Comprehensive knowledge of project principles, techniques and tools, such as Prince 2 Foundation and Microsoft Project

– Excellent communication skills including the ability to liaise confidently with a wide variety of people inc stakeholders and other NHS England staff

– Excellent IT skills including proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications

– Planning and organisational Skills

– Manage and prioritise workload

– Work on own initiative and excellent attention to detail

– Problem solving skills and ability to respond quickly to urgent requests/issues.

Desirable:

– Working knowledge of the Oracle Financial System

– Workforce development knowledge and experience

– Working knowledge of Microsoft Project

– Working knowledge of Microsoft Visio
