Salary: £34,800 – £37,200 per year

Project Officer – STEM Learning Ltd, York

The National STEM Learning Centre & Network is a key UK resource for supporting STEM teaching and learning through provision of resources, on-line and physical networking and communities and partnership with a wide range of organisations and individuals. This includes driving forward on-going development of the STEM Ambassadors and STEM Clubs programmes alongside subject-specific support for all involved in teaching STEM subjects to young people.

We are recruiting on behalf of STEM Learning for a Project Officer who will provide high quality project management support for the delivery of network and governance activities across the STEM Learning programmes. Working closely with partners and external contractors, you will ensure that the regional network is supported to deliver to time, cost and quality, whilst demonstrating value against programme strategic priorities

Our Ideal Project Officer:

· A successful track record in managing contracts and projects in a relevant environment

· Experience of monitoring budgets & experience of report writing

· A proven ability to interact effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders

· An appreciation and understanding of STEM education and a commitment to the vision and mission of STEM Learning

Projects may be employer, partner or stakeholder facing and you should be able to demonstrate examples of effective relationship management external to an organisation. 

You will contribute to cross-cutting activities ensuring best practice contract and project management within STEM Learning. An appreciation and understanding of STEM education and / or working with the voluntary or public sector is therefore desirable but not essential.
