Type: Permanent

Salary: £48,000 – £60,000

Location: Devon

One of my Super yachts clients is currently looking to bring on an experienced project manager to help with their fleet of 30-40 Meter new build yacht construction. The Successful candidate would report to the management team and work closely with out departments at a senior management level.

Responsibilities
– Will be required to make and maintain detailed project plans and progress report to be reviewed at director level on a weekly basis.
– Strict deadline must be carefully managed.
– Frequent monitoring of production status and effectively implementing strategies to improve delivery, quality and to budget.
– You will be required to carry out inspections during the build to make sure that any defects are dealt with quickly.
– Compare actual build progress with the schedule, and react to the implications.
– Coordinate numerous suppliers and subcontractor activities and making sure they are working to full potential.
– You will be required to meet on a regular basis with any department and sales staff to make sure the clients specification requests and surveyor`s observations have been carried out correctly.
– Pre-delivery inspections are required on any vessel that is going to be handed over to the new owners. (this may require going on sea trails).
– You will be working/ liaising with the build sub-contractors regarding any MCA, Class and or Flag state rules.

Experience
– Ideally looking for someone who has worked within the Superyacht industry.
– A good communicator with the ability to achieve results.
– Ability
– A strong knowledge of Marine Engineering, LY3 compliance, superyacht operations and technical construction techniques.
– Ability to work successfully with the entire work force and any sub-contractors on site.
– Good planning/ organisation skills with a good eye for details
