Salary: £36,000 – £45,600 per year

Project and Development Manager – Purpose and Scope

Trustees and senior managers have secured new premises which will provide us with a base for our existing and future service delivery. Our new site will provide us with ample space to accommodate our skills and activities centre providing them with new fit-for-purpose facilities with the space and modern facilities they need to maximise their independence.

Our premises will enable us to share our spacious accommodation with other local clubs, societies, and organisations. The accommodation will assist us in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic to promote safe essential social distancing for all building users.

Acquiring larger premises will enable us to expand the range of opportunities that we can offer to the wider community, support local clubs, organisations, and charities within a Covid-19 secure environment. It will also enable us to develop diversified income streams and contribute to the charity’s financial future stability.

The project & development manager will be critical to liaising with other organisations, developing a range of lease contracts that will attract tenants and provide Centre 81 with additional income. Part of the role will be to oversee the management of the facilities including maintenance arrangements, negotiating best value contracts with utility companies, equipment hire and other suppliers.

This is a long awaited and exciting time for Centre 81. We are seeking the services of a project and development manager to join the charities management team and assist us to secure the future of the charity safeguarding our services for our existing and future members and their family carers.

This is a role of two intergrated parts:

* Initially managing the conversion of our new premises and relocating Centre 81 successfully from its current site to the new facilities.

* Develop our new facility so that we can support other organisations and with them create a range of responsive services to enhance the lives of all those we support and ensuring the future sustainability of Centre 81.
