Job Title: Product Data Administrator

Responsible to: Core Product Data Manager

Location / Area: Flexible dependant on candidate – ideally Co. Durham, Cambridgeshire, Warwickshire, North or West Yorkshire

Basic Salary: £30,000 – £48,000dependant on experience (scope available for exceptional candidates)

Principle Responsibilities: An exciting new position has arisen in Data Management within the Core Product Data Management Team for a Product Data Administrator. This is a product data specialist role and is predominantly focussed upon the need for a candidate with a strong understanding of the electrical industry and its products.

You will need to have great attention to detail, an interest in technology, ecommerce and enjoy working in an office environment.

On a daily basis you will be responsible for maintaining the Product Database consisting of around 1.6 million products – ensuring that the record/description is accurate as well as ensuring that the products are grouped and interlinked in the correct way.

Day to day duties will include:

• Categorise products on our database to group link products together under uniquely created Master Product codes.
• Identify and categorise Premium Products within the Product Master code.
• Work with suppliers and internal businesses to ensure product knowledge is maintained and include new product lines as they become available.
• Continuously improve the quality of product data.
• Work with the Head of Data Management and the Product Data Manager to Improve Data Governance of Products to ensure maximum benefits.
• Work with the various Data Management teams as and when required to ensure that product data processes are aligned as required for all areas of Data Management.
• Work with IT project teams as required to help implement a successful product master strategy.
• Using your product and Industry knowledge to help the Data Team with a variety of projects.

Ideal Candidate: Reporting to the Core Product Data Manager, this position would ideally suit a person currently working in or has previous experience of the Electrical Industry, but anyone with a comprehensive knowledge of electrical installation products will be considered.

No technical IT knowledge is required as training will be given however you must feel comfortable using a computer and have basic Excel skills. The main focus will be upon your product knowledge expertise and your ability to use this effectively within the team.
