Salary: £36,000 per year
We are working with a well-established electronics manufacturer based in the Fareham/Southampton area predominately supplying the marine industry to find someone to join their Systems team in the position of Electronics Systems Architect. Your main role would be to integrate electronic products and feature developments.
The salary is up to £36,000 ’000 per annum plus a contributory pension scheme, 25 days holiday, flexible working hours, medical insurance, child care vouchers and other voucher schemes. Requirements:
Ideally educated to degree or HNC level in Electrical/Electronics engineering or Software Testing (practical/vocation training will also be fine equivalent to NVQ)
Anyone with a background marine, telecoms or automotive electronic systems background would be ideal – you must have some connection/knowledge of the marine industry either with a personal interest in boating etc or work experience in a marine based environment/company.
Relevant work experience, they may consider a junior engineer with a couple of years’ experience
Willing to work in various weather conditions, you will be spending some time on boats etc so you must be physically able to do so
The Role
Act as the central point of contact for certain projects, liaison directly with projects team
Carry out Product Assurance ensuring robust test program delivery, maintain product quality, provide test and qualification expertise for project teams with regards to developing hardware / software products and platforms
Requirements Capture
Assist the manager in planning and delivering testing and supporting a small test team
Product Qualification
Build and maintenance of test tools/rigs – test tools may include s/w scripts for data simulation and monitoring.
Attend meetings and provide support for identifying/risk assessing/verification of customer issues
Provide support for quality assurance to control product build status/issue within product development
Carry out Sea & Field trials
Conduct comparison/benchmark tests as a part of R&D for new products
