Quality Assurance Release Officer – Stockport
Opportunity:
My client a global pharmaceutical manufacturing company are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Assurance Release Officer where you will be inspecting and releasing drugs working to relevant GMP / GDP and EH&S standards.
Duties and responsibilities include:
* Releasing manufactured drug products.
* Inspecting drugs and performing in-process checks on drugs for release.
* Performing in-process checks and reporting any errors according to defined procedures.
* Supporting the manufacture of aseptically products by making QA decisions during batch manufacturing and ensuring GMP is adhered to at all times.
* Complying with EHS/GMP/GDP/company and corporate policies and external regulatory requirements.
* Carrying out weekly GEMBA pre audits in areas such as the clean-room, preparation room and label and release, to ensure SOP and GDP are followed correctly.
The hours of work are: Week 1 Monday to Friday 6.00 AM – 2.00 PM and then
Week 2 Monday to Friday 2.00 PM – 10.00 PM; Alternates weekly
This is a 12 months contract which will be reviewed for a possible extension but everything is dependent on the candidate and business performance. The PAYE rate is £24.2 per hour.
Skills:
To apply for the role of Quality Assurance Release Officer you will have:
* Experience in carrying out the above duties within the pharmaceutical or related scientific industry.
* Good understanding of the drugs compounding process.
* Minimum experience of 12 months as Compounder and/or Inspection Technician or in a quality release role.
