Product and Process Assistant

Salary: £32,400 – £36,000 per year

Product and Process Assistant, Knottingley, Salary 27-30k, Monday to Thursday 8.30 – 5, Friday 8.30 – 4.30, enhanced pension

Our client is a hugely successful, well-established company who are looking to appoint a Product and Process Assistant.

The role of Product & Process Assistant is responsible for assisting the Manager in the efficient and cost-effective running of the department to achieve both efficient utilisation of products and manage stock.

Responsibilities of the Product & Process Assistant

* Managing the day-to-day flow of materials

* Managing the ordering of materials in support of the production plan

* Controlling the warehouse elements, both physically and on the system

* Maintaining accurate Master data control

* Producing management reports when needed

* Maintaining regular contact with suppliers to maintain quality and acceptable pricing of materials

* Identifying any potential cost savings of materials

* Initiating and driving continuous improvement activities to reduce cost and improve quality of materials

* Reviewing costs and implement cost savings measures

We are looking for someone who has experience in manufacturing and engineering, perhaps in a supply chain, planning, materials, or stock control function and someone who has a keen interest in continuous improvement. This role does require occasional travel therefore a driving licence is essential.
