Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year
We are looking for a Process Development Manager to join us on a 9 Month FTC at our site at Leeds!
As a process development manager you will lead the Process team through the planning, preparation and execution phase of process development and line trials along with relevant projects to deliver customer requirements and manufacturing improvements.
You will:
- Deploy product development and technical strategy by providing process, material and equipment knowledge in order to meet customer and company requirement
- Track progress and resolve development issues identified within the trialling stages in order to achieve timely implementation of key projects or targeted launch dates
- Develop and implement joint business planning strategies and projects with the customer in order to agree aligned objectives, time scales and outputs
- Drive and deliver continuous improvement projects, analysing trial output data within the department, to deliver process, quality and equipment capability improvements for the manufacturing unit, retailer and Division
- Deploy the technical people strategy, for process development colleagues, to support a lean enterprise culture and aid colleagues to maximise their potential

What we’re looking for
- You will have substantial experience of working within food manufacturing and leading a team. You will already have the necessary food science or micro biological qualifications and be competent in the use of customer technical databases
- With previous experience in a similar role, you will be familiar with operating root cause analysis techniques for problem solving and have the ability to evaluate and interpret shelf life results. You will be an expertise in interpretation of customer code of practice with strong food legislation and legal knowledge.
- It’s a busy role, so you’ll need to a very organised and methodical individual, with sound project management abilities. You’ll have strong people skills with the ability to easily communicate ideas and be comfortable in dealing with a wide range of people at all levels.
