JOB PURPOSE
A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a leading Food Manufacture for an experienced HR Advisor to provide generalist day to day HR support a site of around 800 people (First Line Managers and Front Line Leaders).
The successful candidate will promote good employee relations, ensuring compliance with site practices and procedures, legislation and best practice. Liaison with the Occupational Health Advisor will be an integral part of this role.
JOB SCOPE
The site has around 800 permanent employees and up to circa 450 agency workers
Key Contacts – HR Officer/ HR Team/ Trades Unions/ Front Line Managers (FLM)/ Front Line Leaders (FLL)/ All on site functions/ Senior Leadership Team
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
·Provide full, generalist HR support to the site
·Coach and influence managers from a people perspective, developing their leadership and people management skills and constructively challenge any inappropriate behaviours/actions
·Advise and support managers on any people relations issues, including absence, capability, disciplinary and grievances
·Working with the HR Officer, deliver initiatives and support managers to develop a productive employee relations environment
KNOWLEDGE & SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
Essential:
·CIPD level 3- 5
·3 years with a generalist HR background
·Experience in a labour intensive and unionised environment
·Good working knowledge of current employment law and HR best practice
·Excellent communication skills
Desirable:
·Previous experience in HR/ manufacturing experience
·Ability to build and continuously develop effective teams
