Pathway Manager

Are you an energetic and articulate individual with the ability to lead others and provide a strategic direction? Do you have a passion for helping vulnerable people with entrenched needs? Would you like to negotiate and build partnerships with others to manage access to safe and secure housing for vulnerable Haringey residents?

The Housing Demand service has recently undergone significant transformation which has resulted in the creation of a dynamic service structure. We are now firmly positioned to take a more strategic approach to how Haringey deals with housing need, to focus on reducing homelessness and to embrace emerging challenges. We are looking for a capable and dynamic Pathway Manager to join us; managing our Pathway scheme and working directly with partners and providers to enable them to support households through the scheme and on to settled accommodation.

To be a success in this role you will need to be a strong communicator who has excellent negotiation skills and attention to detail, and be committed to helping the most vulnerable people living in our borough.

You will manage a small team who are responsible for coordinating access into and through the schemes within the pathway, as well as working directly one to one with providers to maximise their performance and service delivery. Building productive relationships and working closely with providers and stakeholders and supporting your team to understand our residents housing needs and align these with the options available.

An excellent communicator who is politically astute and has first class interpersonal skills, you will be a natural leader who can manage and coach your team to achieve optimal performance. You will have a sound knowledge of supported housing and accommodation options for vulnerable people, and of the challenges these groups face when accessing accommodation, and will use this to support Haringey’s commitment to prevent homelessness wherever possible.

This role will be offered as a full time post. The total number of hours will be 36 hours per week.
