Pathways Tutor: The essentials.
– At least 1 years’ experience within the Employability Sector or experience as a Pathways Tutor
– Teaching qualification (PTLLS/CTLLS/DTLLS)
– Strong communication skills, alongside superb organisational skills
– Literacy & Numeracy qualifications (at Level 2 or above)
– Knowledge of government funded employment and training programmes
– Empathy and approachability
– Flexibility

Pathways Tutor: Your experience.
– Proven track record of successfully placing learners into sustainable employment and/or further education opportunities
– Experience of designing, delivering and implementing training materials to improve employability, such as CV Workshops, Interview Workshops and Job Applications
– Ability to effectively communication with employers at Director level
– Occupational history and competence within the industry
– Experience in a similar role

– Qualification in Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG)

Pathways Tutor: The organisation.
– This national training provider is a direct recipient of SFA funding, an Ofsted Grade 2 and has been established for 25 years.

Pathways Tutor: The role.
– Provide Information, Advice & Guidance to learners that will enable a young person to be Employment-ready
– Assess and develop the employability skills of learners, encouraging self-assessment and preparing for the world of work
– Deliver Employability training subjects such as CV Building, Job Applications, Interview Techniques, Pre-Employment Screening & Personal Training
– Identify and remove potential barriers, thus ensuring employment or further education opportunities
– Identify and secure employment and/or further education opportunities for each learner
– £18k p/a
– 22 days holiday p/a + 8 bank holidays + additional Xmas shutdown days (rising to 30 days holiday p/a with time served)
