Salary: £90,000 – £102,000 per year

THE COMPANY:
Market leading electronic, mechanical and electro-mechanical engineering manufacturer supplying industrial customers across the world.

THE ROLE:
This is without doubt a “career defining” job for the right person. We are looking for a proven operations manager, senior manufacturing manager or similar skilled professional to take a leading role within the UK operations team at this award winning organisation.

You will play an integral role reporting to the senior board with regards to manufacturing operations, production system strategies and technical lean production development. Personal progression to the senior management team is on offer for the right candidate.

Using your extensive knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques, you will be tasked with devising and implementing strategies whilst taking an active operational management role with a team of departments reporting into you via supervisors / managers.

Your role will encompass all areas of the UK HQ manufacturing facility based in the West Midlands from supply chain, production and operations to compliance and continuous improvement.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this exciting role you must have a degree level qualification in a technical, engineering or manufacturing discipline. A further business management (MBA or similar) qualification would be advantageous however this will be fully funded should you be successful.

You will be a driven and energetic leader who takes pride in continuously looking to better processes and procedures for a combined benefit to a company.

You will ideally live within commutable distance of the West Midlands however for the right candidate we are happy to consider relocations with a potential package on offer.

You will be a proven operations leader and ideally have progressed from within the operations / manufacturing chain to either be an operations manager, senior manufacturing manager or similar head of operations level.

Experience implementing strategies and new initiatives into an established manufacturing company would be very advantageous as would evidence of continuous improvement and improved general operational performance.

We are happy to consider all applicants who have the above experience but also those who may be in a senior management role and feel that they are ready to make the step up into operations management.

From an industry perspective, we are happy to consider all manufacturing sectors however an area related to electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical (or similar) engineering would be advantageous.
