Operations Manager

Our Client is an highly successful provider of 3PL services in both warehousing and transport across ambient food, industrial and automotive sectors. The site is a 200k² shared user facility with customers across all sectors. It has a large pallet space facility with a traditional racking and is a Red Prairie WMS. With a substantial non unionised workforce, good growth plans and excellent customer relations, the need is for an ambitious operations professional who has a defined commercial bias, thereby enabling you to efficiently run the site.

Reporting to a General Manager and with daily links to operational colleagues and customers, you will lead, motivate and develop all subordinates, thereby ensuring adherence to challenging KPIs and SLAs. You will have an unencumbered remit to grow the business and where applicable, to introduce further value-added solutions. Naturally, you will have responsibility for safety, people engagement, training, MHE and stock integrity.

Of graduate calibre, your background to date will have encompassed operational and commercial responsibility for a large shared user facility. You will be an inspirational leader and team builder and be the champion of continuous improvement methodologies. Additionally, you will be numerate, literate with good IT skills and have the interpersonal skills to work closely with customers.
