Operations Manager

Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year

Exciting role in an Insurance broker/agency

Key Areas of Responsibility of Operations Manager Are: 

Regulatory Control – Ensuring: 

• The Agency is achieving “Green” on our Regulatory Dashboard and NFU Mutual Monthly Appointed Representative Return, including but not restricted to:
  
  • All Renewals despatched to meet internal deadlines 
  • Renewal Process Best Practice is delivered including business placed through our Partner Insurers
  • Client Review Reports produced to best practice guidelines 
  • Premiums are collected an accounted for within Credit Policy and Agency Key Financial Requirements 
  • Identifying and addressing emerging risks.

Business Development 

• Leading and supporting your team’s contribution to the retention and development of existing client base and in winning new business across all Business Streams (General Insurance, Financial Services and Risk Management Services)

Internal Relationship Management – 

• Between Customer Service Team and Sales Team (Sales Advisers and Sales Executives) 
• Between Account Executive and Sales Executive 

• Between Operations Executive and “Sales Partner” 

Delivering of World Class Claims Service 

• Ensure the Claims function is sufficiently resourced and efficiently making best use of Claims Center (processing system) and Claims Handler’s Personal Delegated Claims Authority. 

Development of your Team via: 

• Training and Competence Scheme 

• Performance Management Process, and 
• Development of individuals outside of the two formal processes above.
