Neighbourhood Officer

BRC are currently recruiting for an experienced Neighbourhood Officer on behalf of a large Housing Association in South Wales. This is a temporary opportunity that is due to start at short notice for an initial period of 2 to 3 months.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Act as the primary point of face to face contact for the association`s residents and stakeholders and coordinator of services in the communities in which we provide homes and services

– Deliver housing services to a neighbourhood ensuring they are responsive, joined up with other local and partner organisation services and coordinated according to the needs of the customer

– Responsible for tenancy and housing management services

– Provide a high quality customer service in line with corporate and service specific strategies, policies, procedures and plans

– Resolve customer housing enquires at the first point of contact

– Develop, review and deliver successful outcomes using estate / neighbourhood action plans

– Deliver a range of housing services relating to the management and letting of tenancies, leases, income maximisation and the environment

– Proactively promote and develop resident engagement and involvement

– Manage and respond to anti-social behaviour, tenancy breaches and illegal occupation and referring complex and high profile cases to a specialist Community Safety team 

– Manage and monitor neighbourhoods, blocks and all communal areas to ensure they are clean, safe and well maintained

– Assist maintenance contractors in providing effective liaison with tenants and assisting with the smooth running of the WHQS Programme and individual improvements in residents homes.

To be considered for this post you MUST have:

– Worked within a similar front line role within housing management, ideally within a Neighbourhood Officer or Generic Housing Officer role

– A full driving license and access to a car
