Our client is one of the largest and most successful registered providers in the Midlands. With a turnover of over £110m, they own and manage in excess of 30,000 homes and employ over 940 staff.
They are seeking an experienced Neighbourhood Officer to provide a comprehensive Neighbourhood Management service with particular responsibility for tenancy management. This will include enforcement and estate management with the aim of improving and maintaining the overall appearance and general conditions of their estates, within Coventry.
Proactive in your approach you will work with colleagues to support customer and community engagement services to their customers. You will work with customers to understand conditions of tenancy and ensure these are adhered to by annual tenancy management checks. Further to this you will also work with colleagues in property services to assist with the development of improvement and programme works to improve the environment and protect investment works. In addition you will also carry out estate inspections, identify repairs and monitor the progress and completion of these works.
The successful candidate will have a higher level education (post A level) or equivalent through relevant training or experience. Knowledge of domestic property structure, fabric and services to a level that enables specification of repairs to tenanted, void dwellings and communal areas is required. Understanding of the legislative and regulatory frameworks applicable to the social housing sector is essential along with experience of working for a housing service provider in a role involving regular interaction with the public or demonstration.
Due to the nature of the role you will possess a current clean driving licence and have access to a car. The ability and willingness to work flexibly and to attend meetings and other events outside normal business hours to meet the needs of the service is required.
