Salary: £18.9 – £28.34 per hour
What the Job Entails
Mechanical fitters are required for our client in Eastleigh, Hampshire.
Duties will include:
Set up, adjust and inspect metalworking and pipe working machines and equipment.
After reviewing drawings and specifications determine what materials and equipment are needed for a given job.
Assemble components guided by technical drawings within defined time scales to produce quality assemblies with a minimum of supervision.
Mechanically test the finished products to ensure the correct operation following the test procedures.
Demonstrate experience in fault finding on systems.
Work to tight time-scales for the delivery of a high quality product and service to a variety of external clients.
Maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
About the Candidate
Successful candidates should have a knowledge of schematics and have the ability to drill and tap stainless steel. In addition, all work is on new equipment, so mechanical detail fitters should be able to work on high spec, high tolerance, machinery.
