Mechanical Fitter

Salary: £26,000 – £30,420 per year

General Description of job: This position would involve all aspects of the assembly and manufacture of fluid power components and control systems.

Duties and responsibilities:

* Align and fit parts according to the specification

* Testing of finished products

* Study engineering drawings and documentation to determine material requirements and task sequences

* Layout and examine component parts to be processed to ensure that the specification can be met

* Visit to customers when required.

Skills Required:

* Computer literate

* Structured/organised approach

* Be able to work as part of a team

* Be able to use their own initiative

* Be able to read and work to engineering drawings

* Understanding of Pneumatic product’s

* The ability to make accurate measurements and work out any adjustments

* The ability to plan and organise workload to meet job deadlines.

Qualifications and requirements:

* Full UK driving license

* Engineering background

* A desire to deliver a quality product

* Demonstrate practical use of basic engineering machinery and measuring equipment

* Apprentice trained either City & Guilds or level 3/HND in Mechanical engineering

Full time permanent role working Monday to Friday

Salary will be negotiable dependent on experience
