Salary: Permanent role – £30,000 – £31,200
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 4.00 pm (no shifts)
Location: Evesham.
Leading Original Equipment Manufacturer require an additional Prototype Mechanical Fitter / Technician due to a significant upturn in their order book. Very friendly, well motivated team. Exceptionally interesting work of a bespoke, one-off nature.
The role of Prototype Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Assembler / Technician will include the following duties:
* Referring to engineering drawings and written instruction in the manufacture of prototype, one-off and small batch assemblies. You will be assembling a wide variety of components using hand tools as well as fitting hydraulic units (training will be given in this if required).
* Using a variety of hand and power tools to assemble a wide variety of large and small fabricated components
* Using a manual lathe, mill and general workshop machinery to produce basic prototype parts.
The ideal Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Assembler / Technician will:
* Have extensive experience of working as a mechanical fitter or assembler within an engineering manufacturer
* Be able to demonstrate competency in using hand and power tools using a wide variety of materials
* Be able to use a range of workshop machinery to include manual lathe and mill.
* Be able to read and interpret drawings.
