Mechanical Fitter

My client, an engineering company in Cambridge, are looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter on a contract-to-permanent basis.

Skills required for the Mechanical Fitter position:

– Mechanical knowledge which includes the use of milling machines and lathes

– Mechanically qualified to City & Guilds, ONC/HNC level desirable

– Ability to read mechanical drawings and follow assembly procedures

– PPM schedules

– Knowledge of pipefitting, welding and pneumatics

– Computer literate

Desirable skills for the Mechanical Fitter position:

– RF experience

– High vacuum experience

The role is initially on a contract basis for 3 months with a move to make the role permanent after this initial period.
