Our client is a £20 billion organisation which protects millions of people who belong to thousands of pension schemes throughout the UK.

They are currently recruiting for a Market Risk Analyst to support the organisation’s Financial Risk Management team with the effective analysis, monitoring and management of the organisation’s on- and off- balance sheet risks. Key responsibilities for this role will include engaging with risk owners to maintain effective working relationships to ensure all risks and performance are being monitored, you will support the approval of investment proposals ensuring they comply with risk framework and the organisations objectives and will support risk reviews as required. You will also provide high quality risk metrics ensuring these are produced in line with agreed risk management framework and policies, you will engage and become proficient in using our client’s new strategic risk management system and will be able to translate the movements and levels of the suite of risk and performance metrics.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a financial or quantitative discipline, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationship with both internal and external stakeholders. We are welcoming applications from highly numerate candidates with knowledge of methodology for risk management and must be a competent IT user with strong Excel skills, including VBA.
