This position is perfect for an enthusiastic English graduate who has achieved a 2:1 or above in their degree and previous experience working with children in either a paid or voluntary role. This post requires a graduate who has the skills to build rapport quickly, helping them to engage with their colleagues and pupils.
In this English Teaching Assistant post you will be working solely within the schools much loved English department providing support to pupils who are not at the levels they should be. You will have the chance to lead individual sessions with pupils and help to run smaller ‘booster’ groups. By following the school’s continued professional development plan you will give yourself a head start when starting your teacher training and learn skills that will stay relevant for the rest of your career. You will become part of a culture that hails team work and support, a principle instilled by the Head of English.
